Every game should have its own twist. AND Rift – no exception. As in other projects, Rift hides many secrets and interesting facts. I will tell you about them in this article.
It’s worth starting with the developers. It’s no secret that veterans of their craft were involved in the creation of the game – starting from the producer of almost the entire line EverQuest And EverQuest 2 and ending with art director Dungeon Keeper 2. Other developers of online games also mingled there, whose assets included the same EQ/EQ2, Star Wars Galaxies, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Tabula Rasa, City of Heroes And Aion. Taking the best that the genre has, the developers have created a really good MMORPG, for which we thank them.
The game has one useful feature – this integration with social networks, have become very popular recently. Players have the ability to tweet and Facebook directly from the game.* But the most important thing is that you can shoot a video and immediately publish it on your page. Music is added automatically. Convenient, isn’t it??
Don’t forget about world record for the most weddings in an MMO. In 24 hours (from 9:00 on February 14 to 9:00 on February 15), 21,879 weddings were registered in the game. This record was officially confirmed and included in the gaming edition of the Guinness Book of Records, and all players who got married during that period received a unique in-game title.
The most important uniqueness Rift consists, perhaps, in dynamic events – faults, after which the game is named. Players and others liked this system so much that they subsequently began to introduce it into new expected games, for example, Tera And Arche Age. Unfortunately, in a greatly reduced version. But nevertheless, a developed system of dynamic events in Rift marked the beginning of a new positive desire of the developers to make the game a little more lively, which cannot but rejoice.
IN Rift‘e have universal character class — cleric. As you know, thanks to the soul system, you can use various combinations of skills and combine several roles at the same time. However, it is the cleric who can combine all roles at once – he is a tank, a healer, a support, and melee damage dealer, and range damage dealer.
Once a character reaches level 50, the game really just begins. No, there is no level 100 in the game, but… It’s all about planar fusion system, which allows the character to acquire additional bonuses. Each conditional “level” gained after the 50th is converted into special points, which are spent on purchasing special skills and bonuses to characteristics. To level up the entire planar fusion, players will have to level up over a thousand levels. Impressive, isn’t it??
IN Rift There is "Korovans». https://luckymeslots-casino.co.uk/bonus/ Yes, the real ones, with drivers, poor overloaded animals, slowly trudged through the desert. They can be met in one of the special zone events: your task will be to escort them safely to the city. It is noteworthy that at the moment this event has the reputation of being the most boring and longest in the entire game. Perhaps the only thing missing is the “rob” function.
There is a a huge number of hiding places and puzzles. They are found in almost all locations and become a pleasant surprise. This means that in the game you can not only “kill and collect”, but also strain your brains and get some good reward for it. For solving each puzzle, the character receives an achievement. More information about hiding places and puzzles can be found here: www.rift-wiki.ru/content/pazzly-i-tainiki
Now I’ll tell you about some Easter eggs.
1. fight club
In the Rift you can find a kind of “Fight Club”, where you can fight Popeye and get for him… that’s right, spinach.
2. Stone TV
In one of the settlements you can find a TV made of stone. Technomagic, such technomagic. I wonder what they can even show on it?
3. Captain Ron
In the Shimmersand location there is a mob named "Captain Ron". This is a reference to the film "Captain Ron" and its main character.
4. Nessie
In the waters of the Gloamwood location you can stumble upon the Loch Ness Monster. If you’re lucky, of course. Or no luck.
5. M&M’s in Rift
In the starting location of the Renegade faction, you can see a woman who sometimes, when you run past her, says the phrase “They are real!" and faints. This is a reference to the famous New Year’s commercial for M&M’s jelly beans, where Santa Claus, upon seeing the candies, says: "They’re real."!" and falls to the floor.
6. Eye of Sauron
In the vastness of Telara you can find a torch very similar to the Eye of Sauron: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gt2YpuCRzk
7. Great squirrels
In one of the locations you can find unusual squirrels – in appearance they resemble planar bosses in some ways, and even more so – they are named after them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjMqEEp-ego
8. Invite a friend!
The European video “Ascend a friend” is made in the style of the famous Old Spice advertisement. *Rift on horseback, oh yes, on horseback!*
9. Dance of the people
Funny dance moves of a race of people taken from Carlton Dance’s video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS1cLOIxsQ8
10. Tasha Gray
In the Circle of the Chosen is a healer named Tasha Gray, who has a very distinctive form. This reminds me of someone, but I just can’t remember who…;)
And in the vastness of Telara you can find a huge number of books, telling various stories and legends. If you find and read them all, you can learn something new about the history of the game world.
In general, there are many more interesting things scattered around the world of Telara. Maybe you saw something else unusual?
